the pay rates can vary greatly depending on if you go into office jobs like engineering, they make alot, or all the way down to a roustabout crew which usually isnt much over minimum wage, if your thinking about getting into it try to get on a rig, workover rig, flowback division, or wireline unit, all of these usually pay pretty good.How much do people in the oil field get paid?
You can also consider working for a Casing company, I work for Franks Casing Crews. Your on call 24-7 and you go to all differnt rigs, so your not at the same rig all the time.
