It depends on what part of North Texas you live in and what part of the oilfield you are looking at getting into. If you live towards Denton/ Wise counties, and see a rig, it's a good idea to stop and ask the toolpusher about a job, he can normally point you towards other companies and people to get in contact with that are working in the area. Around Bridgeport you can look for well service yards around towns, just stop in and talk to them. The oilfield is suffering from a shortage of hands, atleast here in NE Texas, and jobs are easy to come by.Where can I get an entry level oil field job in north texas?
Now it's next to impossible, but in a few months if the economy comes up and the oil market isn't suffering try any big time oilfield companies if they are hiring any drillers, floorhands, or swampers. Report Abuse
